Power BI: 6 Key Points to make Time Intelligence Successful
Why Time Intelligence Fails

Power BI provides a very strong time intelligence, with a great list of functions around. But still, Time Intelligence fails. This is because the setup is not correct.
Five key points to remember
1. Use Date Table (Join with Fact Date)
2. The date table is marked as a date table
3. Use columns from the date table
4. The date does not have a timestamp
5. The date table has all dates
6. Avoid bidirectional join with date table
The bidirectional join with date table can also cause failure, because this can filter dates on date table and we might lose continuous dates.
I have discussed these in detail in my video on YouTube
